This album mixes the sound of found objects with the more conventional vibraphone, bass marimba, darabouka, tabla, jungle drum and chinese cymbals. As well as a large selection of tins, buckets, wheels and springs, there are bowls of water, a kettle, tenor steelpan, metal sheets, cardboard boxes, metal grills and stones. The soundworld moves between textures made up entirely of debris, including environmental recordings, and grooves of pulsed vibraphones, basslines and frontbeats with a strong dancebeat element. It is made to be resourceful in it's instrumentation , composed against a background of scavaging for found objects and materials. The recording was done at the Steam Rooms, Popular, East London with the help of Jon Wilkinson.
